In my late teens I began coming to grips with my spirituality. What I professed to believe in church on each (and every!) Sunday morning, I realized I DID NOT indeed believe.
My career as a stockbroker beginning in 1975 led to… of all things… a wholesaler of oil and gas programs giving a LIFE CHANGING half-day seminar. As he closed the presentation, he held up a Science of Mid magazine. He told us that reading this magazine helped him set and achieve goals and stay positive. I subscribed to the magazine, and… voila!... it was just what I needed. It put into writing my own thoughts and beliefs.
This new-found (to me) philosophy declared that there is but one Power in the universe… a Power for Good. This philosophy proclaimed everlasting life for ALL! WOW! A Higher Power (God as we understand It) that has no plans to burn anyone in hell for eternity. Yes, this was an ideology I could embrace! Eventually I found a small community of like-minded people and began to take classes. In 2006 I received my ministerial license, and continued to work as a broker through 2011. In 2012 I was ordained in Center for Spiritual Living.
Over the years several Center for Spiritual Living centers came and went as mininsters came and went. In 2013 along with a fellow seeker, Brad Howe, I founded the center which is now Center for Spiritual Living Minneapolis.
When Reverend Debby O’Donnell joined me as co-minister, after she moved here from Carlsbad CA in 2019, I was able to focus more readily on reaching out to minister to prisons. Along with prisons, we are now working with a women’s chemical dependency treatment center. My intention is to continue to devolop this area of ministry. I love having the opportunity to meet with Center for Spiritual Living Minneapolis each Sunday morning and share this life-changing, optimistic message of Science of Mind!
